Stiina Jean is a gorgeous singer born in Helsinki, Finland.
Stiina has studied music in the famous Sibelius High School, and it was there and then she decided that the only thing she ever wants to do is to become a pop singer.
Already in her childhood she dreamed of being a singer, but she also wanted to join a circus, be an actress in Hollywood or become a guitar-playing truck-driver,
After finishing the school, She traveled around the world. She also stayed in Odense, Denmark for half-a-year to study pop-singing with an American teacher. During this time she learned a lot about life and other cultures as well as about herself.
When Stiina returned home to Helsinki, she started singing with various groups.
The first band she formed was a duo called She She Sam with the American singer and dancer Charles Salter. Their debut album ”Look What We Started” was released in several territories. After having toured constantly for two years, Stiina and Charles decided to go separate ways.
Stiina’s first solo album , ”Is It Bad” hit the charts in the early -90’s.
Stiina Jean teamed up with the multi-Grammy nominated songwriter and producer Risto Asikainen right from the beginning of her career. After releasing ”It Is Bad” she has successfully worked also as a studio singer on many award winning Scandinavian rock and pop projects before her next solo recording.
Her second solo album ”Give A Little Love” was released 1998 in Japan. The song ”Hold On” was air-played daily for three months as a theme song in a Japanese nationwide TV-program.
Stiina’s musical influences vary from soul classics to modern pop and rock. Her energetic and soulful voice surely cuts through these melodic rock tunes.
At the moment Stiina Jean is working hard in the studio recording her next album which is expected to be ready later this year.
